Paycheck is Selling Your Soul

Paycheck is Selling Your Soul

I couldn't believe my ears when I heard those words.  And then these words "paycheck is a loser mentality".  Didn't he know I received a paycheck since I was 15 years old?  That I went to college for over 7 years to get a fat paycheck?  It didn't matter.  Paycheck is the traditional, industrial way of thinking.  I know that now.  So, thank you, Robert Kiyosaki for this honest look into why I wasn't getting wealthy.

I was trading my time for a paycheck.  Wealth isn't created by a paycheck, it creates a living. As much as I was living a decent lifestyle, I was sacrificing a lot.   I sacrificed my ethics as I felt trapped not to be able to speak up about what unethical behaviors were happening at the C-level of my Corporate job.  I sacrificed time with my friends and family as I flew around the country.  I sacrificed security - yes, security.

I'm a Leo and we are naturally loyal.  I learned there was no longer security with any job, no matter the length of time or service you gave that company, you gave parts of your life to.   I sacrificed working with people I didn't trust, like, or respect.

Am I grateful?  Yes.  There were a lot of perks - the American Express card, the points/rewards for travel, the many delicious meals, friends I gained, expertise and skills that improved, and a few mentors along the way.  But in the end, when it comes to wealth and financial security, that's just not true working for someone else.

So I said yes, told the world, and I'm figuring it out.  For the past two years, I've lived a life I didn't know could exist.  I wake up when I want to, talk/work/engage with people that I want to, and I'm on a path to create wealth. Wealth that will go beyond buying a new car or house, or paying off my families mortgages, but wealth that will make a massive improvement in this world.

Thank you for all those paychecks.  Thank you for the wealth that is coming my way, that I can share with so many more people than my paychecks could.

Wages don't make wealth. They make a living.

Wages don't make wealth. They make a living.

That's a new concept for me.  When I worked for Corporate, I made a decent wage.  I would get a steady paycheck every two weeks.  And I would work another two weeks, and get paid again. Was I getting wealthy, despite my 6 figure income?  No.  Was I making my boss, his boss, the Board, and shareholders, wealthy?  Well, yes.  They were getting paid based on my work efforts, my sales.  They leveraged themselves.

Wages don't create wealth.  Wages help you make a "living".  Well, I wanted more.

The way to create wealth is through leverage.  Well known financial gurus, that walked the walk, don't trade their time for a paycheck.  They leverage themselves.  Whether it's through rental income properties, car wash or laundry mat ownership, or network marketing, they leveraged their time.  They created wealth as these items would make them an income whether they were there or not.

Why do so many people have judgements against network marketing?  They usually say "oh, you have to get someone, to get someone, and you make money off of what they make...".  Isn't that true of any company?  Insurance? real estate? car sales?  Everyone gets a piece of the pie.

The difference is in network marketing it is about helping your team.  Period.  If they don't succeed, you don't succeed.  It's about entrepreneurship, helping individuals create an income.  It's not about politics, greed, supporting unethical actions, or about the bottom line no matter the cost.  It's about people.  It's about hard work.  It's what this country was founded on.

Leveraging your time, helping others to succeed, and being a people's business are just a few reasons why I left the Corporate world and haven't looked back.  It's time for entrepreneurship to help turn our country's economy around.

Not All Water is Equal

My journey is taking me on the teachings of water.  Someone said, what we knew about pharmaceutical drugs in the 1800's versus today, is how little we know about water.  In my conversations, I find this to be true.  Heck, I'm guilty!

Remember when bottled water was "invented"?  I remember thinking, why would I pay money for water when I can get it out of my faucet.  Now, bottled water is a $15 Billion industry.  Well known soda manufacturers supplement their sales with bottled water.  Unfortunately, what I have learned is bottled water may be slightly better than tap water (all relative), it still is acidic.

Considering our bodies are 70% water, as every one of our 37 TRILLION cells contains water, it is very critical to our quality of life to consider the type of water we drink.  Popular water types include reverse osmosis, or RO.  This is simply "dead" water.  All minerals - good and bad - are removed.  This also applies to distilled water.  Bottled brand waters also differ from one another. Some brands are more acidic than other brands.

As a reminder, diseases grow in acidic environments.

Not all water is equal.  Acidic = disease.  Alkaline = healthy

Not all water is equal.  Acidic = disease.  Alkaline = healthy

In my research, I have discovered the health benefits of fresh, alkaline water.  Popular brands that market "alkaline" water must add a chemical to "try" and preserve the pH level.  Why would anyone want to drink water that has added chemicals?  To me, that's marketing.  And probably in the line up of evil, it's the lesser of the others.

Not all water is equal; and it is very critical and vital to our quality of life, to remain youthful inside and out, to do research.  It's worth the time, money, and effort.
